Sealions

These little fellows are amazing. They lie on the beach and on the rocks and when they move you have to wonder why they bother to go there - they're so awkward.

Then they get in the water and it's like they were meant to be there - well I suppose they were. They seem to have no backbone - the way they twist and bend themselves. Look at the pictures and also view the video clip when I've uploaded it.

Penguins

These should not be here on the equator but they are! The current that runs up from the bottom of South America all the way up the Pacific coast keeps the sea temperature a lot less than I like but it means the penguins can live here. Another animal that doesn't do too well on land (and even less well in the air) but great in the water.
