Fernadina is near Punta Espinoza. There was a lot to see on this land visit. First off it was where the marine iguanas live. They swim out and eat the algae on the rocks underwater then the swim back to land. They lie on the land in the full sun - and it's really hot. they need to do this to dry out else they'd get cold and die. They obviously have to get properly dry before the sun goes down. There were a lot of crabs on the shore being very territorial. There was a flock of flightless cormarants. And also penguins. An island of birds that can't fly although there was a Galapagos hawk which certainly can. Of course there was a bunch of sealions as always.
