This page is about the Daphne.

As you can see it's a big boat and it's well equipped. It has room for 16 passengers all divers. There is a rear dive deck for kitting up and storing equipment It has its own compressors on board and keeps divers well fixed for air.

There are three Zodiacs to ferry divers back and forth to the dive sites and the guys who drive the boats stay out while you're duving and pick you up when you've finished. It's a very comforting thing to do your safety stop and see a boat drifting around above you watching your air bubbles and waiting for you.

The rooms are all en-suite and are roomy enough provided you don't share with a photographer with lots of kit. I didn't luckily but my room-mate, Norman, unfortunately had to.

The crew amounted to nearly as many as the passengers. They were all friendly and keen on making your stay as nice as possible. I have to say a special thanks to the cooks Johnny and Wellington who made sure that this finicky veggie always had a good meal.

Our dive guides and land guides were Colette and Solom. They both know the dive sites in great detail and managed to show us some very nice things. Colette also has an extensive knowledge of the animals, topography and history of the islands and made our land visits so much better because of it.

We did a lot of travelling overnight and the sea got quite rough during that time although I didn't fall out of my bunk - just.
